Normans Bin C469 Limestone Coast Pinot Grigio 2022

This Pinot Grigio is a dry medium bodied wine exhibiting lemon-lime, pear and stone fruit aromas. The scent of almond and honeysuckle compliment the melon and green apple flavours which dominate with a hint of citrus fruit. This wine is an ideal accompaniment to summery dishes like salads, chicken and seafood, or simply sharing with friends.

Winemaking

Select parcels of fruit were sourced from vineyards in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. The fruit was machine picked during the cool early hours of the morning this enabled us to select only the best fruit from the vineyards from this wonderful vintage. The fruit was then rapidly transported to the winery and immediately crushed, chilled and pressed, where the free run juice and pressings were separated. The juice is cold settled for 3-4 days, racked off solids and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Post fermentation individual batches are blended to style then the finished parcels are carefully assessed, with only the finest chosen for the final blend prior to bottling.

Cellaring

Drink beautifully now or can be cellared for 1-3 years.

Normans Chais Clarendon Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2021

Black squid ink, impenetrable colour. The nose shows dark fruits, dark chocolate and olive notes with rich blackcurrant and violets leading in to a richly flavoured palate.

The palate shows elegance and length with dark plum and olive flavours relishing. There is a lot of complexity of flavors and mid palate richness derived from obvious highly concentrated fruit and well-balanced oak usage. The obvious finesse and length along with the finely grained yet expressive tannins in this wine shows it has great cellaring potential and could be a true treasure over the years to come.

Winemaking

Hand picked then fermented in small stainless steel fermentors to maintain strong fruit flavor from skins. The wine then went into American and French oak barrels for the remainder of ferment where it spent an extended period of time to allow full flavor development and fruit and oak to balance and compliment each other.

Deep dark purple/black with red hue. Luscious aromas of ripe blackberry and concentrated cherry are highlighted by nuances plum, red liquorice and spice. The palate is youthfully opulent and potent, with rich dark plum, cherry, blackberry, whilst complexity is derived from aniseed, red liquorice and Chinese five spices building through the mid palate before the firm round tannins and a refreshing kick of acid explodes. This full-bodied Shiraz has a long lingering finish. Enhanced with wonderfully seamless integration of oak.

Winemaking

Fermented in small open top stainless steel, these fermenters ensure we maintain strong fruit flavor from skins. Hand plunged twice daily for seven days then transferred into American and French oak barrels for the remainder of ferment then spent 14 months to allow full flavour development. Normans Chandlers Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Crimson red purple in colour. Aromas of blackberry and plum dominate with subtle hint of black currant and oak.

Elegant fruit driven style which is silky smooth in terms of texture and the fruit flavour of plum, blackberry and red cherry all making an appearance. Soft grainy tannins and a touch of spice round it out well.

Winemaking

Fermentation was carried out in both static and rotary fermenters under warm temperatures for seven days. This allows the fruit to create style and balance comes from the extraction of tannin and retains the critical elements of the wine being fruit and aromatics.

Cellaring

Great to drink now, but will mature and develop complexity for the next 3-5 years.

Normans Chandlers Hill Chardonnay 2025

The Normans Chandlers Hill Chardonnay 2025 is a vibrant and fruit-driven wine that reflects the rich winemaking heritage of Normans, one of the oldest and most respected names in the Australian wine industry. Established in 1853 by Jesse Norman, the winery’s journey from its humble beginnings in Adelaide to its expansion in McLaren Vale has led to the creation of wines from some of the most renowned vineyards in Australia. The Chandlers Hill Chardonnay is crafted with the traditional winemaking philosophy that has defined the Normans legacy—a wine that is both rich and approachable, made to be enjoyed now.

The Chardonnay grapes were gently crushed and pressed before being fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and vibrant fruit character. The wine is bottled under stelvin closure, ensuring that the wine retains its zesty nature and ripe fruit profile.

On the nose, the Chandlers Hill Chardonnay bursts with tropical fruit aromas, leading into a palate rich with the intensity of ripe stone fruits. Tropical fruits dominate the flavor profile, while notes of stone fruit add depth and complexity. The wine’s natural acidity provides a refreshing kick, balancing the richness of the fruit and leaving a crisp, clean finish.

This Chardonnay is the perfect choice for those who enjoy a fruit-forward, easy-drinking wine with a balance of richness and refreshing acidity. It pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled chicken, or a creamy goat cheese salad.
