The reviews are in and we are delighted to have been recognised by the World’s most influential wine writer, Robert Parker Jr’s Wine Advocate:

Normans Conquest Barossa Shiraz 2009 85 Pts Source eRobertParker.com #199 Feb 2012 Reviewer Lisa Perrotti-Brown Rating 85 Points Maturity  Drink: 2012 – 2014  Current (Release) Cost $20
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Conquest Shiraz offers evolving aromas of mulberries and warm plums with hints of leather, tobacco and Chinese five spice. Mature and drinking well now, it has a medium to full body and a good amount of spiced warm berry flavors supported by crisp acid and a low to medium level of powdery tannins, finishing medium to long. Drinking well now, it should remain good to 2014.

Normans Conquest McLaren Vale Chardonnay 2010 85 Pts
Source eRobertParker.com #199 Feb 2012 Reviewer Lisa Perrotti-Brown Rating 85 Points Maturity  Drink: 2012 – 2014  Current (Release) Cost $20
The 2010 Conquest Chardonnay gives notes of ripe apples, warm pears and honeydew melons over touches of cream and toast. Clean and refreshing in the mouth, it has a light to medium body and just enough apple and pear flavors, lingering medium to long in the finish. Drink it now to 2014.

Peter Forrestal Reviews

04/04/2011

Conquest Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc“This is from Marlborough & will appeal to anyone who loves their Sauvignon Blancs. It clearly captures the fragrant aromatics, ripe sweet tropical flavours – gooseberry, lychee – of the region’s Sauvignon. I must say I’m surprised at how clear the varietal character is in a bubbly. The price is right, too.”
BLOODY GOOD Peter Forrestal Quaff 2011

Holbrook’s Road  2009 Cabernet Sauvignon
 - “Here is a medium-bodied red that has ripe plummy fruit & substantial tannins, yet is reasonably approachable”
PRETTY GOOD Peter Forrestal Quaff 2011

Holbrook’s Road 2009 Shiraz - “While this is a touch grippy to finish, it does have rich, ripe, concentrated plummy flavours & smooth, viscous texture”
PRETTY GOOD Peter Forrestal Quaff 2011
