Peter Forrestal Reviews
04/04/2011Conquest Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc – “This is from Marlborough & will appeal to anyone who loves their Sauvignon Blancs. It clearly captures the fragrant aromatics, ripe sweet tropical flavours – gooseberry, lychee – of the region’s Sauvignon. I must say I’m surprised at how clear the varietal character is in a bubbly. The price is right, too.”
BLOODY GOOD Peter Forrestal Quaff 2011
Holbrook’s Road 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon - “Here is a medium-bodied red that has ripe plummy fruit & substantial tannins, yet is reasonably approachable”
PRETTY GOOD Peter Forrestal Quaff 2011
Holbrook’s Road 2009 Shiraz - “While this is a touch grippy to finish, it does have rich, ripe, concentrated plummy flavours & smooth, viscous texture”
PRETTY GOOD Peter Forrestal Quaff 2011
